Post a long wait, Aprilia is finally bringing its revamped 2025 range to America. We told you about the new RS 660’s arrival a few days ago, and now, the updated Tuono 660 Factory has set foot in the US. There’s plenty to like about the new middleweight naked, be it the refreshed design or the more powerful engine. Let’s dive in.
The 2025 Tuono 660 Factory Produces 105 Horsepower And Boasts Ohlins Suspension
Arguably, one of the biggest changes here comes to the performance. The 660cc engine now runs bigger 52 mm throttle bodies, which helps bump the peak output to 105 horsepower and 51.6 pound-feet. The former is five more than before, giving the Tuono a bigger edge over its rivals like the Honda CB650R and KTM 790 Duke. A six-speed transmission continues to facilitate the power transfer to the rear wheel.
Under the skin, you find an aluminum perimeter-type chassis, coupled to an aluminum swingarm. This joins hands with class-leading Ohlins NIX 30 USD forks and an Ohlins STX 46 monoshock–both fully adjustable for rebound, compression, and spring preload. Completing the package are Brembo calipers, a trio of disc brakes, and 17-inch cast alloy wheels. Thanks to the heavy use of aluminum, the bike weighs just 399 pounds (wet).
Top-Shelf Electronics Make The Tuono 660 Factory Better Than Ever
Like the class-leading underpinnings, Aprilia has made sure the electronics match the theme. So there’s a new TFT instrument cluster that can be accessed via backlit switchgear. It comes loaded with the Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) suite, which includes:
- Launch control
- Wheelie control
- Traction control
- Cruise control
- Engine maps
- Engine brake control
- Two-way quickshifter
The refreshed design is the final piece of the puzzle. Much of it is like the 2024 bike, but a closer look reveals a new lip under the headlight and new side shrouds. These are visibly inspired by the RS-GP (Aprilia’s MotoGP race bike). As good as that is, the Noale factory has ditched the belly fairing in 2025. It makes the bike look slimmer but a bit incomplete. Lastly, the new-for-2025 Dark Banshee livery wraps the bike in a black-red theme, matched by the dual-tone saddle.
Aprilia Has Priced The New Tuono 660 Factory At $11,499
All these changes bump the Tuonno 660’s MSRP to $11,499. That’s a $300 increment over the outgoing 2024 Factory version, which seems quite justified. However, the price positions the 660 at the premium end of the middleweight segment, almost $2,000 away from the likes of the 790 Duke and CB650R. Heck, it’s even pricier than the new Honda CB1000 Hornet SP. There’s no mention of a non-Factory model with a lower MSRP, either.
