Ferrari and Hot Wheels have announced the first nine products born of their renewed partnership. Kicking things off is a limited-edition box set of two Hot Wheels Collector 1:64-scale die-cast cars. The set includes the Ferrari 312 P, which honors the Hot Wheels brand’s first-ever Ferrari model that was released in 1970. The second car is today’s top Ferrari: the 449P race car that has won the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice in a row.

The box set vehicles are Hot Wheels Premium cars, which means they have a fully die-cast body and chassis with Real Riders wheels. Their standard of accuracy and detail is higher than a traditional Hot Wheels car, and both have removable engine covers. They also come packaged in a soft-touch box for display that itself has a decorative outer box for storage. The price of this limited-edition pair of Ferraris is $100.00. Pre-orders are, or were, open, but they’ve unfortunately already sold out.

The Rest Of The Ferrari Launch Line

In addition to the limited-edition box set, Hot Wheels is releasing seven other cars. The first is a 1:64 scale radio-controlled version of the Ferrari SF90 Stradale that’s compatible with Hot Wheels track sets. It also works on open ground with full-function controls that go forward, reverse, and left and right. The RC car will retail for $19.99 and be available in stores in June.

Next up is a solo version of the Ferrari 499P race car from the Hot Wheels Premium collection. Similar to the one in the limited-edition box set, it will retail for a more palatable $6.49 and go on sale in July. Joining it will be a Hot Wheels Premium version of the LaFerrari and Ferrari F50. Both will sell for $6.49. The former will go on sale in September, while the latter reaches store shelves in November.

Hot Wheels is also paying homage to the most expensive Ferrari ever sold, the 250 GTO, with a double-vehicle set that includes the car and a Fiat 642 RN2 Bartoletti Transporter. The pairing makes sense because, of course, you’d also have a transporter to ferry around your $70 million classic race car. The pair will go for $16.99 when they go on sale in October.

Finally, we have three Ferraris in the traditional Hot Wheels series that will each retail for just $1.25. The first is the Ferrari SF90 Stradale which will launch in June, followed by the beautiful Ferrari F40 Competizione in July and the Ferrari 365 GTB4 Competizione in August.

The History Of Hot Wheels And Ferrari

Hot Wheels and Ferrari have a history that goes back to 1970. The toy car company held an initial licensing agreement to produce Ferrari cars from then all the way to the end of 2014. Reports say the parting of the companies was mutual, and Ferrari went on to give the exclusive rights to make its toy cars to the Hong Kong-based May Cheong Group, which owns the Maisto and Bburago brands.

Hot Wheels and Ferrari announced a new partnership in early 2025 at the Nuremberg Toy Fair to begin producing officially licensed toy cars again. After a short 10-year hiatus, the two companies are back together, and they’re starting off strong with this initial lineup of products.

Our favorites are the Ferrari 250 GTO and Fiat Transporter, as well as the $1.25 models, all of which look fantastic for the price. Fortunately, Hot Wheels says more Ferrari models will be announced later this year, so this is just the start.
