Auto Shanghai 2025 has proven to be quite the event. Carmakers from around the world unveiled a raft of intriguing new vehicles at this significant Chinese motor show. This includes everything from the Nissan Frontier Pro pickup truck with a plug-in hybrid powertrain to the redesigned 2026 Lexus ES sedan to a range of China-specific Audis. Not to be outdone, top-tier luxury manufacturer Bentley also revealed some new products at this year’s Shanghai shindig.

Meet The New Azure Models

More specifically, this famed British brand unveiled three new models at the show, special versions of the Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible, and Flying Spur lines. The new Azure trim level offered for each of these products emphasizes “wellness and comfort” opposed to outright performance. Of course, there will continue to be standard versions of those three cars, what Bentley calls the benchmark models, and for performance enthusiasts, the traditional Speed variants remain on the menu, too.

They look nice, should provide overwhelming opulence, and that hybrid powertrain ought to run like the wind without being too ecologically irresponsible.

These Azure cars are motivated by a new hybrid powertrain, but don’t expect any of them to sip fuel like a Toyota Prius. This system is built around a muscular 4.0-liter V8 engine that is augmented by an electric motor. All told, this setup should deliver 670 horsepower and 686 pound-feet of torque, figures that should provide immediate acceleration.

“Positioned alongside the acclaimed Speed variants, with the introduction of Azure, Bentley customers can now choose the model that most closely reflects their aesthetic values and driving priorities,” said Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors in a media release heralding these new cars. “Our China customers and the luxury market here continues to inspire and push us to explore new boundaries,” the executive added, “so we are excited and motivated by the future opportunities in this market with these new options.”

Continental GT and GT Convertible Azure Models

These new Continental models feature a few upgrades that enhance what are already exceptionally luxurious vehicles. Front and center is a new grille design, one that incorporates a black matrix pattern offset by vertical vanes and framed by chrome. There’s also a gloss black front splitter, new 22-inch wheels, and so everyone else knows what kind of Bentley you just bought, there’s Azure Badging on the front fenders, too.

Inside, these cars feature 3D Harmony diamond quilting on the seats and door panels, a lovely touch. And for an extra dash of richness, there’s also available open-pore walnut veneers and special illuminated sill plates.

Bentley Didn’t Forget About The Flying Spur

As for the Azure-ified Flying Spur sedan, it also features an updated grille, one that is highlighted by 11 vertical accent strips. Not surprisingly, this car also has special fender badges, and 22-inch wheels. The front lower air intakes have also been gussied up with a dash of chrome.

Coddling the driver and passengers alike, so-called wellness seating is fitted to this sedan’s four outboard positions. This includes heating and ventilation – pretty standard amenities these days – though, you also get massage capability with six different settings.

Rounding out the cabin, the Flying Spur features mood lighting, quilted stitching, embroidered headrests and, yes, even beautiful walnut accents, just like the Continental Azure models.

If you have the means and prefer comfort and luxury over outright speed, consider one of these new Bentley Azure models. They look nice, should provide overwhelming opulence, and that hybrid powertrain ought to run like the wind without being too ecologically irresponsible.
