As 2024 screeches to a halt, EV seems to be on the lips of almost everyone. Even the brands that are synonymous with internal combustion muscle have at least dipped their toe in the electric pond. Dodge’s Last Call vehicles made way for their next call, the all-electric First Call 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona. The muscle of the Ford Mustang morphed into the all-electric Mustang Mach-E, and Chevy decided to shoot their shot with a hybridized electric, the Corvette E-Ray.

Although the Big Three automakers are the OG muscle builders on the block, at least for now, Elon Musk holds the title of King of Electrified Muscle with the Tesla Model S Plaid and its industry-standard-disrupting 1.99-second 0 to 60 time. While the all-electric Plaid has the quickest acceleration of any production vehicle, boasts four-digit horsepower, and is capable of a sub-nine-second quarter mile, it isn’t turning heads for the internal combustion die-hards. So, with naysaying in mind, the question is, how will the muscle-heads feel about a Dodge Hellcat mounting a Model S and the resulting fiendish spawn of their union? After mating the Challenger with the Plaid platform, YouTube’s BoostedBoiz has the answer.

In order to give you the most up-to-date and accurate information possible, the data used to compile this article was sourced from Tesla and Dodge, and also BoostedBoiz.

A Tesla Model S Plaid Powers This Dodge Hellcat

Following his Tesla/ Honda minivan mashup – the Plaid-esssy – BoostedBoiz, Kyle Wade, dreamed up the Plaid/Hellcat Franken-build once realizing the similar wheelbase size of both vehicles. Sourcing a 2016 Hellcat from a junkyard and a wrecked Tesla Plaid – known as E-Roy – that he already had, Wade began to bring the muscle-concocted collab to life.

“To my surprise, I found out that a 2015-23, (they’re all basically the same body Challenger), will fit the Tesla wheelbase almost perfectly,” explained Wade.

It started as the E-Kitty and with some gutting, cutting, and chopping, the body of the Dodge slid onto the Tesla Chassis. White body panels, from a variety of donor Hellcats, as well as genuine badges, brought visual cred to the Trojan Horse Hellcat hiding the 1,000+ horsepower, tri-motor Tesla.

BoostedBoiz Breed The Tesla/Dodge CyberCat

The offspring of the unholy blend has now been dubbed the CyberCat. At 4,290 pounds, it’s several hundred pounds lighter than its Plaid lineage, but its growl is not even a purr, as the silence of its electric powertrain is only broken by the sound of squealing tires. In the end, we will have to wait and see which side this Plaid-enger combo took its performance prowess from as Wade hasn’t released the track vid as of yet.

If it follows in the tire tracks of the Model S Plaid, the official quarter time is listed as 9.23 seconds, although there is more than one documented run of less than nine seconds. The CyberCat would have to beat 8.91-seconds to beat the time of the Dodge Challenger Demon 170, recorded as “History’s First-Ever Eight-Second Factory Muscle Car” and “World’s Quickest 0 to 60 Car” with a 0 to 60 mph of 1.66 seconds.
