Honda has been consistently bagging the Red Dot Design Award for many of its motorcycles over the years. The likes of the 2025 NC750X, the 2023 CB750 Hornet, the XL750 Transalp, the 2022 ADV350 scooter, the NT1100 touring bike, and the 2021 Forza 750 are some fine examples. This streak continues now, with the most recent awards being bagged by three concept Honda vehicles.

Two of them are for concept electric bikes that have caused quite a commotion with their sleek looks and have also piqued our interest, with Honda stating that “fun” and “fusion of hardware and software” will be the key attributes. The third vehicle to win a Red Dot Design Award is one that even took us by surprise. Apart from these Honda vehicles, a concept movie has also won an award in the “Brand and Communication design” segment.

An Electric Sports Bike, An Electric Scooter, And A Delivery Vehicle Win Design Awards

All Three Are Winners Of The ‘Red Dot: Best of the Best 2025 Award’ In The Design Concept Category

The EV Fun Concept sports bike and the EV Urban Concept scooters preview two exciting new Honda electric bikes that will be launching soon. Honda has already teased us with the next update to the EV Fun Concept, which will be unveiled in September 2025. The heavily camouflaged sports bike bears a striking resemblance to the concept showcased, along with the EV Urban Concept, at EICMA 2024.

The EV Fun Concept features a slim and seamless design, as stated by Honda, which expresses its “quiet yet overwhelming acceleration and sporty riding performance.” The design features edgy lines, a sleek faux fuel tank section, and a floating rear quarter. The headlamp enhances its futuristic appeal and resembles the face of Robocop.

The EV Urban Concept brings the same sleek and futuristic design to a scooter form. The design direction is “Precision of Intrinsic Design,” as stated by Honda. This electric scooter concept seamlessly fuses minimalist and sophisticated styling cues into a single, cohesive design. It has a step-through design which mimics that of a maxi-scooter. Various design cues on this Honda EV scooter concept remind us of the equally funky BMW CE 04. The scooter is Honda’s vision of near-future mobility that fuses software and hardware, and creates a seamless urban runabout that “resonates with people and society”.

The third vehicle to win a Red Dot Design Concept award is the Honda Fastport eQuad, a delivery vehicle. Yup, this is Honda’s vision of a sustainable and efficient micromobility delivery vehicle that has a few tricks up its sleeve. Cool features include supplementing the rider’s pedaling power with electric motor assistance courtesy of a pedal-by-wire system. The extremely compact form factor, without compromising on distinctive visual appeal, is what helped this commercial vehicle earn a Red Dot Award. The Fastport eQuad is designed for use in bicycle lanes and helps companies improve the speed and efficiency of package delivery in urban areas with complex traffic situations.

The New Supercharged Honda V3 Engine Concept Teaser Wins A Design Award Too

Intricate Details Showcased In The Teaser And A Seamless Yet Dramatic Flow Dial Up The Excitement

Honda is pushing the threshold of motorcycle performance with an all-new supercharged V3 engine. It will take on the fight against the Kawasaki Ninja H2 line-up, which is currently the sole production bike series with a supercharged engine. Honda is taking a unique approach by installing an electric compressor on its upcoming V3 engine, which, on paper, should improve nearly instant torque delivery from the outset. The teaser video beautifully showcases the journey of technological innovations that Honda has brought forth over the years.

The video showcases some of Honda’s coveted offerings today, including the Honda Africa Twin ADV, the Rebel cruiser bike, the X-ADV scooter, and the sharp-looking CB750 Hornet naked bike, among others. The transition of frames and the intriguing music used elevate the drama. Honda has also showcased shots of real engineers in the teaser to salute their effort in pushing the limits. The video ends with the actual sound of an electric compressor, which we must say is touché.
