With enough time and money, anyone can build just about anything. To prove this, imagine combining a 2015 Ford Mustang and a Ram pickup into a vehicle that evokes the massive luxury convertibles from the 1920s, such as the ones crafted by Duesenberg.

This wild automotive mashup isn’t a fantasy, though. Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan commissioned this oddity. It currently resides in the United Arab Emirates in his nephew Sheikh Khalifa Sultan’s collection.

A Ford Mustang Meets A Dodge Ram

This automotive equivalent of Frankenstein’s Monster required seven months to build. However, the video doesn’t disclose the price of making these two very different vehicles fit together. The owner calls it Rammus, which is presumably a portmanteau of Ram and Mustang.

The vehicle’s front-end design mostly comes from the Mustang, but there’s an extended bumper with a tubular metal bar on the bottom. The metal poles on the front fenders help the driver know where the car’s edges are for easier maneuvering. The area ahead of the front doors also takes significant inspiration from Ford’s pony car. However, there are spare wheels that mount just behind the fenders. The rubber can spin freely, and the polished metal wires add a shiny flourish to the machine when driving down the road.

The rear section features enormous fenders. Since the donor vehicle is a Mustang convertible, the owner can enjoy this opulent machine with the roof down. The back has the ‘Stang’s taillights, and there’s a chunky bumper below them. A prominent Rammus logo is also on the tail.

A Big Engine Under A Long Hood

Opening the extended hood reveals a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 that you’d find in some Ram pickups. However, this engine looks tiny in the Rammus’ bay. It retains the truck’s four-wheel-drive system. Everything visible suggests this machine is more of an easy-going cruiser rather than a hardcore sports car.

The interior features a mix of Mustang, Ram, and custom elements. The ignition and headlight controls are now on a special panel on the center console.

TopSpeed’s Take

This vehicle definitely doesn’t suit everyone’s taste, but it doesn’t have to. One person commissioned the bizarre machine to suit his specific wishes. Seeing this beast on the road would be fascinating because of its massive size, and no one would have any idea what they’re seeing.
