The Japanese tuner Liberty Walk specializes in making outrageous body kits. The company’s style often includes massive fender flares and tall rear wings.

The company has a recent tradition of crafting kits for classic Italian supercars and premiering these vehicles at Tokyo Auto Salon. It started by building a widebody Ferrari F40 in 2023 and then a Lamborghini Countach in 2024. Liberty Walk is now preparing to debut a broader Lamborghini Miura at this year’s event, running from January 10 to 12, 2025.

The Widebody Lamborghini Miura By Liberty Walk

The modified Miura retains the core elements of the iconic supercar but adds styling cues from modern performance cars. The overhauled nose features an extended front splitter and dive planes on the outer corners. The broader fenders have louvers on top and on their rear section.

The Liberty Walk Miura’s profile showcases its lowered suspension, which allows the tops of the tires to tuck into the fenders. Widened side sills accentuate the car’s more expansive proportions.

The wide rear fenders match the muscular look from the pieces in front. A huge rear wing attaches to the vertical portion of the decklid. A gargantuan diffuser wraps around the body beneath the bumper.

Does This Ruin The Miura?

Loading the Miura with a big front splitter, wide fenders, a tall wing, and a diffuser might ruffle purists’ feathers. The car was revolutionary for Lamborghini at the time. It was the brand’s first mid-engined model and featured sleek yet sporty styling that looked like nothing else on the road at the time.

The Miura uses a modified version of the brand’s 3.9-liter V-12 engine. The powerplant sits transversely behind the driver, which allows for more compact packaging than mounting it longitudinally.

The original Miura P400 had 350 horsepower. Later variants made even more power, such as the SV model producing 385 horsepower. There’s no indication that Liberty Walk does anything to the powertrain on its widebody version.

TopSpeed’s Take

Liberty Walk might make folks mad by modifying such a rare vehicle. However, the car is sure to grab attention at the Tokyo Auto Salon because it is unlike anything else.
