A couple of months ago, we told you Harley-Davidson is ready to whip up a special cruiser for its die-hard fans. The news came via leaked official documents, and now, the American giant has officially teased the machine. As a refresher, this upcoming cruiser will be Harley’s 2025 Icon collection, which has birthed some bikes like the Hydra Glide Revival and Low Rider El Diablo. Let’s jump in.

The 2025 Harley-Davidson Gray Ghost Will Take Heavy Inspiration From The Fat Boy

The teaser of the Gray Ghost doesn’t give away much, but it confirms the suspicion we had. The suspicion where we said it’d take massive inspiration from the Fat Boy on sale today. That’s exactly the case, judging from the teaser. We can see the silhouette of the upcoming bike matches the 2025 Fat Boy.

Another thing we can confirm is the aesthetic touches. Brightening the teaser shows a glossy silver finish from head to toe, matching the OG ‘Grey’ Ghost from the 1990s. A closer look also reveals a circular air intake for the V-twin engine and special badges all around. What remains unclear is whether we’ll get the punchy yellow inserts from the OG here, too. A set of silver slot wheels complete the design.

The Harley-Davidson Gray Ghost Will Feature The Milwaukee-Eight 117 Engine

Confirmed from the type-approval documents and the teaser, the Gray Ghost will come with the same Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine in the Custom trim from the Fat Boy. The power output is 100 horsepower–three down on the standard Fat Boy. Likewise, the underpinnings don’t change. We can see slot wheels, telescopic forks, single disc brakes, and the double-cradle steel chassis. Expect the overall riding triangle, dimensions, and features to be unchanged as well.

2025 Fat Boy Key Features

  • TPMS
  • Traction control
  • Cruise control
  • Cornering ABS
  • Drag-Torque Slip Control

The Gray Ghost Will Break Cover On May 8, 2025

When is it coming, you ask? The wait ends on May 8, 2025. Once here, expect the Gray Ghost to sell for a fair bit more than the $22,599 Fat Boy. The difference should be about $2,500 more than this, which is a bit steep in our opinion.
