It’s been a rocky few months for KTM in the past. From severe bankruptcy to a change in upper management, the bikemaker has seen it all. That has also hurt its global image and production plans worldwide, evident from the serious delay in dealership dispatch of its new popular models. Now, there’s another bad news, particularly for Americans. A popular KTM has disappeared from the official website, hinting at its discontinuation. Here’s what you need to know.

The 790 Duke Is No Longer Listed On KTM’s American Site

Since its inception, the 790 Duke has been one of the most impressive middleweight naked bikes. So much so that KTM replaced it with the 890 Duke, then had to bring it back because of its popularity a couple of years later. Now, though, the 790 has mysteriously disappeared from KTM’s US website. A closer look at the lineup also reveals the 790 Adventure’s disappearance.

Why is that, you ask? Well, we believe it’s due to the new tariffs on Chinese-made products. Both 790s are made by CFMoto in China, rather than in Austria, meaning they’re susceptible to the new tariffs. Pricing is one of the key reasons why the 790 duo makes sense today, so if they’re attracting high tariffs, this can seriously hurt their prospects. The only consolation is that the landing pages are still alive in the database, so there is a scope of the 790 duo coming back.

The 790 Duke And 790 Adventure Are Capable Middleweight Products

While they might have disappeared, both of these bikes are highly capable products in the already-competitive middleweight space. They share a 799cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces 95 horsepower and 64 pound-feet. That’s enough to match and beat many of their rivals from Japan. You also get likable features like TFT, traction control, bi-directional quickshifter, and cornering ABS.

As for mechanicals, KTM has built both bikes around a steel trellis chassis, suspended on WP Apex forks and monoshock. Understandably, the ADV has long-travel suspension here with spoke wheels, while the naked has road-biased suspension and wheels. Last but not least is the aggressive pricing. The 2025 790 Duke was listed for $9,499, and the 2025 790 Adventure had a $10,999 MSRP. So if you can find them in your nearest dealership, grab them while you can. And don’t forget to ask for a discount!
