Germany’s G-Power has been tuning BMWs since the 1980s. The company offers a broad range of upgrades, including ECU modifications, upgraded exhausts, forged wheels, and body kits.

The company is capable of extracting significant power upgrades from BMW’s engines. For example, G-Power can push the M8’s output to as high as 887 horsepower and 774 pound-feet of torque. The company now turns its attention to the M4.

The G-Power G4M Bi-Turbo BMW M4

G-Power modifies the M4’s twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six to pump out an impressive 709 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. For comparison against BMW’s own offerings, the limited-run M4 CSL produces 543 horsepower and 479 pound-feet, and the 3.0 CSL has 553 horsepower.

G-Power’s performance software upgrade increases engine power and the top speed to 205 mph. The G4M also has downpipes with high-flow catalytic converters that connect to a stainless steel exhaust with carbon-fiber-trimmed tips.

Plus, this show car has a six-speed manual gearbox, which buyers can’t get on the M4 CSL. Of course, the upgrades can work on models with the eight-speed automatic, too.

M4 owners who want such a potent upgrade can buy the G4M upgrade package for $37,200. It includes the engine improvements and aesthetic modifications.

A Flashy Look

The G4M doesn’t hide its power. The body features a louvered hood that’s available in bare carbon fiber or partially painted. A carbon wing attaches to the rear deck. This one has a vivid orange body. Buyers have the choice of two wheel designs: one with five pairs of spokes and the other with a multi-spoke layout. Both of them have a 20-inch diameter in the front and 21 inches at the back.

Inside, there are G4M-branded velour floor mats. A carbon steering wheel is an option. The show car in G-Power’s promotional photos has orange upholstery that matches the exterior color.

TopSpeed’s Take

A 709-horsepower BMW M4 sounds like a blast, especially this one with a six-speed manual. The G4M’s aggressive styling might not be to everyone’s taste, though.
