TopSpeed’s Take

As someone that’s had their eye on Asian manufacturers for a while, I have to say that I’m downright impressed to see Hyundai and Toyota, two rivals in the same automotive space, come together in the name of car culture and sports cars in general. Whether or not this collaborative event is just the first of many joint events or a sign of a bigger collaboration remains to be seen. However, it would be great to see two brands like Hyundai and Toyota partner up on a new and unique sports car. It worked out great when Toyota and Subaru partnered up for the GR86/BRZ twins, and there’s no doubt in my mind that a collaborative model between Hyundai and Toyota would be just as epic.
