For the past couple of years, Indian has made sure it whips up special motorcycles under its Forged series. The Indian Sport Chief got this treatment in 2023, followed by the Scout in 2024. In 2025, it’s the new liquid-cooled Chieftain PowerPlus serving as the base. The result is a lineup of special baggers, topped by the latest build by Kraus for none other than UFC star Cody Garbrandt. Let’s dive in.
The Kraus Indian Chieftain Has An Army Of Special Parts From Head To Toe
One look at the Chieftain, and you’ll know it’s super souped-up. Up top, the large fairing now houses custom headlights and auxiliary lights from Denali, topped with a custom windscreen above them. Right below is a custom carbon fiber fender. At the latter end, the stock saddle has paved the way for a dragster-inspired unit, flanked by custom chopped saddlebags. These join hands with a carbon rear fender and custom billet tank mounts. Rounding off the aesthetic are several nitty gritty bits, such as:
- Custom saddlebag lights
- Custom tank emblems
- Carbon dash cover
- Rizoma mirrors
- Denali turn signals
- Modified side panels
Ohlins Suspension And Carbon Wheels Ensure Sharp Riding Dynamics
Diving deeper, Kraus has ensured there’s upgraded underpinnings to match the upgraded aesthetic. So both ends now have fully adjustable Ohlins suspension, paired with forged carbon fiber wheels. Topping this is a set of Kraus brakes (calipers, pads, and discs) at both ends, so you have no shortage of stopping power. While at it, you’ll also appreciate the new handlebars and footpegs.
All this while, the engine has the least amount of changes. The PowerPlus 112 mill remains largely unchanged, with the most notable bit being the new two-into-two free-flow exhaust. So you can expect the power output to be slightly more than the stock 126 ponies. A DID gold chain helps put all that power to the floor.
