At the start of 2025, Harley-Davidson finally bit the bullet and whipped up a sporty Pan America. Its adventure flavor was tossed in the bin to favor a sport-touring experience and proper corner carving shenanigans in the hills. Accordingly, the Pan America ST became the only sport-touring machine from America.
However, those bragging rights seem short-lived now. That’s because Buell has just launched the SuperTouring as part of its 2025 lineup. It has a competitive MSRP, loads of likable features, and most importantly, a mighty V-twin engine. Let’s dive in.
The Buell SuperTouring Features A 1,190cc V-twin Engine
Starting with the highlight, the SuperTouring has Buell’s 1,190cc V-twin engine derived from the Hammerhead 1190 sports bike. It produces 185 horsepower and 102 pound-feet via a six-speed transmission. That output puts it a whopping 35 horsepower ahead of the 1,252cc Pan America ST. And to make matters worse, Buell claims a curb weight of 439 pounds–an insane 103 pounds less than its Harley-Davidson rival.
Wondering how that aggressive weight figure is achieved? Well, much of it is down to the innovative chassis. The SuperTouring’s perimeter-type frame has a unique hollow construction to double up as a fuel storage cell. You also get carbon fiber bodywork as standard–another move that helps keep weight low. However, the production bike could be a bit heavier since it’s the same story with the SuperCruiser.
Speaking of the production version, Buell claims it will feature:
- FOX upside-down forks
- FOX monoshock
- Brembo calipers
- 17-inch alloy wheels
- Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tires
- Petal disc brakes
A Catchy Design And Likable Features Round Off The SuperTouring’s Package
Coming to the design, the SuperTouring matches its stablemates by looking unorthodox. The frontal cowl houses a chunky dual-pod headlight that’s followed by muscular body panels in the middle. You also get a thick seat courtesy of the specialists at Saddlemen to ensure utmost riding comfort. The mid and low-set pegs and upright handlebars follow the same brief. Once atop, a TFT instrument cluster greets you. The exact functionalities remain unclear for now, though.
Buell also has some accessories to improve the package. These include:
- Secondary Exhaust + 36 Liter Bags Package – $1,500
- Cut Tips + 36 Liter Bags Package – $2,000
- Quick-Shift System – $495
The 2025 Buell SuperTouring Is Priced At $23,995
Finally, let’s talk pricing and availability. Buell has priced the SuperTouring at $23,995, which is $4,000 more than the Pan America ST. That’s hard to justify, but there’s no denying the extra performance and high-quality parts somewhat make up for the price. Things get better if you bestow your trust on Buell, though.
If you make a pre-order for $50 right now, then deposit $1,000 between July 1 and August 31, 2025, Buell will sell you a SuperTouring for just $22,495. That’s a solid $1,500 discount. You will also get priority when the deliveries commence in the latter half of 2025. Win-win, right?
