Mercedes-AMG and the Stuttgart-based automaker’s MANUFAKTUR individualization department revealed the limited-production CLE AMG MANUFAKTUR Edition today. Based on the CLE 53 AMG coupe and convertible, the MANUFAKTUR Edition showcases what happens when you fire the entire parts catalog at the high-performance versions of the two-door AMG E-Class models.

Like Mercedes-Benz’s old design packages, MANUFAKTUR spices up its models with some exclusivity and personalization options, all so you can separate yourself from the run-of-the-mill versions that everyone else can get at the dealer. Case in point, these special-edition CLE 53s will be available in both Europe and North America, but in limited numbers and fully loaded up the wazoo, on top of some unique features unavailable to standard CLE 53 models. And should you decide to scoop one up, you’ll be reassured that this CLE 53 won’t like any other average humdrum CLE 53 on the road.

The CLE 53 MANUFAKTUR Checks All The Boxes, Literally

As an AMG car and one parallel to the E-Class midsize sedan, the CLE 53 comes pretty darn well-equipped right out of the gate. But the MANUFAKTUR Edition adds a whole dollop of exclusivity. In addition to standardizing the AMG Performance Seat Package Advanced, AMG Night Package Plus, AMG Performance Studio Package, the AMG DYNAMIC Plus Package, the Pinnacle Trim, and the AMG Real Performance Sound Package for the coupe, and all the above plus the AMG Carbon Fiber Package I and II for the Cabriolet, these versions are about as fully-loaded as they get.

The coupe-only AMG Night Package Plus adds bespoke upgrades to various body components, such as the lower front fascia, side skirts, rear lower fascia, and the window trims and surrounds. But more so, it also widens the wheel wells for a more pronounced and aggressive stance, when compared to the standard CLE 53. The same blacked-out window trim and surround treatment occurs with the AMG-bespoke front radiator grille and fenders.

The AMG Performance Studio Package amps up the sporty appearance of the already sporty CLE 53, adding more details to the front fascia, as well as an integrated lip spoiler on the trunk, and a diffuser panel on the rear lower fascia, to improve aerodynamics.

The Cabriolet, however, benefits uniquely from the AMG Carbon Fiber I and II packages, which adds, as you’ve probably guessed, lots of carbon fiber trim bits on the interior and exterior. While both the Coupe and Cabriolet gain comfort enhancements with the AMG DYNAMIC Plus Package, such as active motor mounts; even more unique trim bits with the Pinnacle Trim Package; adjustable engine noise and interior sound profiles with the AMG Real Performance Sound Package; and the best seats in AMG’s parts bin with the AMG Performance Seat Package Advanced, which adds black Nappa leather, and yellow-contrast stitching. White Nappa leather is also available with black contrast stitching.

Under the hood, the CLE 53 MANUFAKTUR Edition remains unchanged, with the same AMG-modified 3.0-liter M256 turbocharged inline-six, good for 443 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque with the overboost function engaged. Power is sent to all four wheels via the CLE 53’s AMG-tuned 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system and AMG’s SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G dual-clutch automatic.

Mercedes-AMG didn’t specify any pricing for production numbers. But with the CLE 53 already starting at $74,300 without shipping, the MANUFAKTUR Edition, with its limited production numbers and all, probably isn’t going to be cheap. Especially with the recent U.S. auto tariffs hitting.
