Ford’s new Super Duty models got a Platinum Plus package last year, aimed at the brand’s wealthiest buyers — think: seven-figure Montana ranch owner in Lucchese boots. The package effectively turns any Super Duty into a six-figure work truck packed with luxury features like flat-reclining seats, premium interior furnishings, and the like. There’s also some connected features, including your very own genie in a bottle: owners can speak directly via text to a Ford Truck Expert to answer any questions about their new luxury work truck.
Ford Super Duty Trucks Get A Personal Assistant
Owners will have access to unlimited one-on-one texting with these Ford Truck Experts, which will help answer any questions you might have about setup, the truck’s in-car tech, towing, or almost anything else. Buyers can opt in with a QR code included with the truck upon purchase. However, the feature isn’t the only perk Ford is offering. The automaker offers a Ford Towing Bootcamp, in case that Lucchese-clad ranch owner needs a refresher. Owners can visit and learn how to hook up their Super Duty trucks, including tutorials on Ford’s various trailering assistance features.
Super Duty Platinum Owners Get More Perks
Other Super Duty perks include complimentary maintenance for two years. That takes care of any engine oil and filter changes, new brake pads and linings, wipers, shocks, and other important items. A one-time 25-percent coupon for Ford accessories is also included. All of this is laid on top of a refreshed 2025 Super Duty lineup.
The 2025 Super Duty lineup now features a standard 6.8-liter V8 for XLT and Lariat trims, while Ford’s 2-kW Pro Power Onboard generator setup is now available for King Ranch and Platinum trims. Meanwhile, Ford’s onboard scales and Smart Hitch (which you can learn to use at Towing Bootcamp) are available on King Ranch trims, while a trailer brake controller is now optional on XL trims. Super Duty trucks also gain access to individual tire pressure monitoring for trailers, and auxiliary cameras can be added for more angles while towing.
TopSpeed’s Take
It’s not surprising to see Ford continue to build on luxury features for its most expensive trucks. In Europe, wealthy buyers are going to end up in G-Class SUVs and expensive EVs, like so many American buyers in city centers. Outside the city, big luxury trucks dominate, and it’s a logical next step to see features expand for these models. Before you know it, Ford will be rolling out a Mercedes Manufaktur-like personalization service for its priciest trucks.
