If you’re considering an electric pickup truck, there are a couple of great options. The Chevy Silverado EV offers superb range, class-leading charging performance, and lots of innovative features. The Ford F-150 Lightning is a great offering as well, one that’s instantly familiar because it’s basically just an F-150 with an all-electric drivetrain. Of course, there’s also the Tesla Cybertruck. With its origami-like bodywork and gleaming stainless-steel trim, this vehicle looks like no other new vehicle available today. And if you’ve had your eye on a Cybertruck, now is a good time to buy one.

0 Percent Financing Offer With Full Self-Driving

Recently, the automaker announced a new 0 percent financing deal on this controversial pickup. You can take advantage of this special offer IF you opt for the available Full Self-Driving (supervised) feature, a steeply priced option at $8,000, and shell out at least 4 percent of the purchase price as a down payment. If you’d rather not make a down payment but still want Full Self-Driving, the interest rate increases to 0.99 percent. Skip that advanced driver aid and sidestep the down payment and the APR increases to 5.54 percent.

That 0 percent financing appears to be available on all three Cybertruck trim levels – Long Range, All-Wheel Drive and even the mega-powerful Cyberbeast – though customers must take delivery by June 30 to receive this special deal.

  • 0 percent financing is available on the Tesla Cybertruck
  • This deal should be available on all three trim levels.
  • You have to shell out at least 4 percent as a down payment
  • You must also opt for Full Self-Driving ($8,000)

Looking at the raw numbers, how much does a new Cybertruck cost these days? Well, the base model checks out for around $72,235, including a $250 order fee and $1,995 in destination charges. Stepping up the ladder, the Long Range trim goes for roughly $82,235 with the same requisite fees. And finally, the aptly named Cyberbeast can be yours for a whopping $105,735, inclusive of those other annoying additional charges.

TopSpeed’s Take

Unfortunately for Tesla, the Cybertruck has been a sales flop. Many drivers don’t care for this pickup’s controversial styling. The vehicle has had a few high-profile quality-control issues, including several recalls, and finally, the Cybertruck is a victim of its manufacturer’s recent decline. Tesla, long a darling of the automotive industry, has fallen on hard times. The company’s lineup, even the “refreshed” models, looks boring and stale, and motorists around the world are avoiding the brand, both because of the abovementioned reasons as well as CEO Elon Musk’s recent, let’s just say, controversies.

Offering special financing on the Cybertruck makes a lot of sense for Tesla because the company reportedly has loads of these vehicles sitting in inventory. Whether this is enough to convince drivers to take one of these electric pickups home remains to be seen. The downsides of this vehicle may outweigh the benefits of available 0 percent financing.
