Cadillac is a luxury brand, and the Escalade, especially, is a symbol of opulence and, often, status. It’s a nice SUV. Thirsty for gas, sure, but there’s something quite indulgent about its size, comfort, and power — especially in the V-badged trim. If you feel bad about the gas consumption, Caddy is launching its 2025 Escalade IQ, and electric model using
. Apart from being a cleaner vehicle, the IQ might come off as even more extravagant. Now, Cadillac has announced pricing for the IQ, and, well, brace yourself.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ Starts At $127,700
Yes, the Escalade IQ has a base MSRP that’s about $40,000 more than the base Escalade, which starts at $87,595. It goes up quickly from there, too. The pricing for the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ (before the $2,290 in destination fees) is as follows:
Trim |
MSRP |
---|---|
Luxury 1 |
$127,700 |
Sport 1 |
$128,200 |
Luxury 2 |
$147,700 |
Sport 2 |
$148,825 |
In addition to the base price, there are some available options, of course. Many of those are quite pricey, too, like the Midnight Steel Frost exterior paint color for $5,925, or the $7,500 Executive Second-Row Seating Package with personal screens and tables, massaging seats, and headrest speakers.
It’s Standard Equipment Ain’t Bad
With a price like that, it ought to come well-equipped, and it does. The Escalade IQ has an estimated range of 460 miles — that long wheelbase means you can fit over 200 kilowatt-hours of battery. It features an 800-volt charging tech to allow it to take full advantage of 350-kW DC fast chargers. Its two electric motors provide all-wheel drive, and an output of 615 horsepower and 680 pound-feet of torque, or up to 750 hp and 785 pound-feet temporarily when you press the Velocity Max button on the steering wheel. That also allows it to do the 0-60 jig in under five seconds.
Four-wheel steering is included, along with Cadillac Arrival Mode, which is similar to the GMC Hummer EV’s Crabwalk. It also has an adaptive air suspension and Magnetic Ride Control. Inside, there’s the stunning, 55-inch curved display with Google Built-In. Also included is GM’s Super Cruise driver-assist tech that lets you take your hands off the wheel on many highways. A one-pedal drive mode, along with the Variable Regen on Demand feature, allows you to keep your foot off the brake.
So, yeah, the price is pretty spectacular, but so is the Escalade IQ.
