We all know Harley-Davidson has dominated the custom motorcycle scene for years. But in recent times, other brands have truly joined the party. Among them lies Royal Enfield, which regularly urges custom shops to build mind-bending custom bikes based on its production bikes. As a result, we get to see some brilliant builds, the latest of which comes from India-based Rajputana Customs. It’s so cool, you might not have seen any H-D build of this sort yet.

The Custom Royal Enfield ‘Jetstream’ Has An Uber-Sleek Design

Royal Enfield’s 650cc bikes promise to woo you with their heavy road presence and neo-retro style. But the custom bike you see here slims things down to scarcely believable levels, even though it’s based on the Shotgun 650. To do that, the craftsmen at Rajputana Customs have made several changes to the stock double-cradle frame, converting it into a unique perimeter setup.

Add to that the bespoke subframe, and this paves the way for the petite bodywork structure. As a result, you’ll find none of the stock bodywork here and all of it is replaced by an uber-sleek unified tank-to-seat-to-tail structure. In a similar fashion, the stock bars have made way for custom clip-on handlebars, mounted on the works. So you can dub this a cafe racer.

A Custom Swingarm And Handmade Wheels Elevate The Package

Diving deeper, the custom frame joins hands with a custom swingarm. This is a tubular double-sided unit that looks seamless from both sides, as if it were a one-piece structure and not joined tubular pipes. The custom setup also paves the way for an aftermarket monoshock in place of the dual-shock setup. This has more travel than the OEM unit, along with progressive-rate springs.

Meanwhile, the USD forks appear similar, although they are mounted differently on the wheel. Speaking of which, the wheels are art in their own right. These are handmade spoke wheels with a blacked-out finish. Plus, since the Jetstream isn’t road-legal, the bike shop has thrown on Pirelli racing tires to match the edgy appeal of the bike.

Not Much Has Changed On The 648cc Parallel-Twin Engine

With so many yummy changes, you must be wondering what’s going on with the engine. And sadly, there’s not much of note. Rajputana Customs has left the parallel-twin engine unchanged internally. But there is a free-flow two-into-two exhaust system, which should help bump the output a bit from the stock 46 horsepower and 38 pound-feet. Let’s not forget, this should be a lot lighter than the bulky Shotgun. So power-to-weight ratio should be better here.
