Ram is coming off a disappointing sales year. The brand sold just 373,120 pickups in 2024. It was a 16 percent year-over-year decline. And the Ram Pickup fell from its customary top-three perch in American sales to No. 6 overall, behind the Toyota RAV4, Tesla Model Y and Honda CR-V crossovers.

Ram brought back former CEO and longtime Stellantis vet Tim Kuniskis to help reverse that decline. And he just announced a blitz of new product announcements starting June 8, 2025, that he hopes will revitalize the Ram brand.

Key Takeaways

  • Ram is coming off a disappointing sales year
  • Returned brand CEO Tim Kuniskis announced a new product offensive
  • Ram’s electric trucks should arrive soon
  • Hemi V8s should return to the truck lineup, perhaps with a new TRX
  • And Ram should debut a new entry-level pickup

Ram Is Planning 25 New Product Announcements Over The Next 18 Months

Kuniskis posted the following update to his LinkedIn page, noting that Ram has 25 product announcements planned for the next 18 months, with the first coming on June 8, 2025.

Four months ago, I returned to the Ram brand with a clear mission: to build exciting trucks. Since then, we have been shaping the next evolution of Ram — a bold new chapter that honors the legacy of the brand while redefining its future. There are 25 product announcements planned within the next 18 months, and it all starts on June 8th. I’m proud to be back, proud be a part of this team, and more determined than ever to show the world…nothing stops Ram.

This roll-out sounds similar to the Never Lift calendar Kuniskis oversaw at Dodge in the run-up to the electric Dodge Charger Daytona. So, the announcements could range from wild new colors and performance accessories to completely new vehicles.

What We Suspect Ram Has Coming Before 2027

Ram has not yet publicly confirmed what these new announcements will be. However, based on previous announcements and reporting, we can still provide a few educated guesses about those announcements.

  • Two of the announcements should be Ram’s electric trucks, the all-electric Ram 1500 REV and the Ram 1500 Ramcharger EREV. Neither truck has hit dealers yet. Both trucks are purportedly still en route. Ambitions for the 1500 REV have been scaled back a bit.
  • Hemi V8s should be back in the Ram lineup soon. Eliminating the Hemi hurt sales. The Trump administration should ease the emissions targets that predicated that decision. And Ram’s other engines, built in Mexico, are now subject to tariffs. Kuniskis didn’t rule out the Ram 1500 getting V8s back. Stellantis is reportedly putting the Hemi V8 back into production in Michigan. A leak suggested that both the 5.7-liter and 6.4-liter V8s would make a return.
  • A new Ram 1500 TRX is likely on the way. Ram launched the new 1500 for 2025 with an RHO model but no range-topping TRX. A dealer leak suggests the apex off-road truck could return with even more power.
  • Ram also has a new midsize truck coming. It may end up being called the Rampage. The new truck is confirmed to start production at the Belvidere, Illinois assembly plant in 2027. It may end up being a unibody vehicle.

TopSpeed’s Take

Ram has some natural levers to pull to improve sales. Hemis should reinvigorate interest from Ram’s core buyers. Getting more affordable models, whether that’s a more attainable 1500 trim or having another model below the 1500 on sale, should help Ram’s sales, too. And if the winds sway back toward electric vehicles, there’s a chance the 1500 Ramcharger is the electric truck everyone wants.
