Not long ago, Triumph gave us its mightiest naked bike yet in the form of the Speed Triple 1200 RS. Mere months later, the British giant has already one-upped the new Speed Triple with a limited edition ‘RX’ model. The new Speed Triple 1200 RX takes over as the sportiest Triumph naked bike, launching a direct attack on the Ducati Streetfighter V4 with a few upgrades.

What’s New On The 2026 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX

Since the Speed Triple just got an overhaul, the RX simply focuses on the nitty-gritty. The biggest change here is the revamped ergonomics. Out goes the tubular handlebar and in comes a machined top yoke that houses low sports bike-style clip-ons. These are said to be 2.71 inches lower and 2.04 inches further forward than the RS.

Matching this is a new set of rear-set footpegs, mounted 0.57 inches higher and an inch rearward than the RS. The top yoke also paves the way for an Ohlins adjustable steering damper. A special ‘performance’ rider seat rounds off the ergonomics. While you sit more aggressively, the RX also makes you look a lot cooler.

That’s courtesy of the new aesthetic. The RX flexes a special Triumph Racing Yellow colorway with bespoke badges all over, with color-matched accents on the rear wheel. This is topped with a healthy splash of carbon fiber and a blacked-out Akrapovic slip-on exhaust. The latter doesn’t do much to the power output, though.

Speed Triple 1200 RX Key Changes

  • Machined top yoke
  • Clip-on bars
  • Rear-set footpegs
  • Ohilns steering damper
  • Triumph Racing Yellow livery
  • Akrapovic slip-on exhaust

What’s Unchanged On The 2026 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX’

Mechanically, the RX carries forward the impressive package of the new RS. So you get a 1,160cc, inline-triple engine that produces 180 horsepower and 94 pound-feet. The latter comes in under 9,000 RPM to ensure a punchy ride. The output positions the Speed Triple in the hyper end of the naked bike segment alongside the Aprilia Tuono V4, Ducati Streetfighter V4, and BMW S 1000 R.

Housing the engine is an aluminum twin-spar chassis that pairs up with a bolt-on subframe and a single-sided swingarm. Suspension comes from Ohlins–43 mm forks and a monoshock–with each end featuring Smart EC3.0 electronic adjustment. The cutting-edge Objective Based Tuning Interface (OBTi) is present, too, which allows easy adjustment of the suspension’s dynamic damping characteristics in different riding scenarios. As fancy as this is, you also get an army of electronic aids to make your life safer and easier. This comprises:

  • Six-axis IMU
  • Traction control
  • Adaptive wheelie control
  • Brake slide control
  • Engine brake control
  • Cornering ABS
  • Ride modes
  • Two-way quickshifter

The Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX Costs Over $21,000

The Speed Triple 1200 RX is a limited edition motorcycle, with a set production figure of 1,200 units worldwide. Accordingly, Triumph sells it for $21,495–$1,500 increment over the Speed Triple 1200 RS. That seems well-justified, considering the extra equipment on offer. For reference, the Akrapovic slip-on alone costs $1,500 if you buy it as an accessory.
