Starting the second half of 2025 in style, the engineers and designers at BMW have created a wild-looking custom bike based on the all-new R 1300 R streetfighter. It is a crazy build with insane features that make it a thorough racing machine. But the surprising bit here is that, despite being an over-the-top creation that looks more like an art installation, the R 1300 R “Titan” has enough brawn, commitment, and cool features to be a ferocious track machine.

This is the result of an in-house passion project with Philip Ludwing, a renowned name who has mastered the art of building custom BMW boxer bikes. His forte is converting BMW boxers into straight-line rockets. And the “Titan” packs enough punch even to outclass the mighty likes of the Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide ST, and even the track-prepped CVO Road Glide RR.

The BMW R 1300 R “Titan” Is Aggressive And Futuristic

Slammed And Wrapped In Carbon Fiber With Sportsbike-shared Parts

The aggressive and front-heavy custom design here is inspired by the Sultans of Sprint—an European sprint custom bike acceleration challenge. Philip has extensive experience building bikes for this event and has applied the lessons learned from that experience to this one-off custom BMW build. The most striking visual element is a custom carbon fiber monocoque shell, which constitutes the bodywork and is adorned with a stripped livery. This component is the primary contributor to the custom BMW’s 88-pound weight loss.

The bodywork has a forward lean, which gives this custom bike a pouncing stance, even when standing still. The tank has been trimmed in height by reinstalling the fuel pump to the right-hand side and relocating the filler cap to the left. In its stock position now sits the R 1300 R’s factory TFT, neatly tucked into a custom tank enclosure. It looks cool and also helps give the cockpit a cleaner look, without rupturing the stock wiring. The rear section is significantly shorter and slimmer, housing a custom Alcántara seat.

Notable Design Features

  • Custom LED DRLs in the headlamp, taken from the BMW M4 CSL
  • Custom forged carbon fiber body work with a custom vinyl job
  • BMW S 1000 RR foot controls positioned incredibly behind

  • BMW M 1000 RR lower fork shrouds and brake ducts
  • 17-inch front alloy wheel from the BMW M 1000 RR
  • Custom forged carbon cowl atop the headlamp
  • Custom inlets upfront for chunky pod filters
  • Fully-adjustable clip-ons

Some Serious Mechanical And Engine Modifications

Shares Components With BMW Supersports

The “Titan” is made to go as fast as it looks. On the hardware front, it flaunts a modified suspension setup that includes a set of lowered BMW M 1000 RR front forks and a custom-built rear monoshock. Both are from Wilbers and offer full adjustability. The braking setup is retained from the stock R 1300 R naked bike. However, it comes with aftermarket Magura brake and clutch master cylinders.

The engine is untouched, with the “Titan” packing the stock liquid-cooled boxer twin engine. However, there are some juicy add-ons. One is a custom underseat exhaust system from BMW’s long-time collaborator, Akrapovic. This is also a mechanical piece of art, complete with custom headers. The other is a nitrous system, which adds 30 to 40 horsepower to this already beastly bike. The gas cylinder is neatly tucked between the underseat mufflers, adding to its dramatic visual appeal. The boosted performance is integrated into a second engine map, which can be toggled at the flick of a button.
