With popular Japanese bikemakers lazing around in the entry-level segment, it appears other Asian brands have taken up the responsibility to keep innovation going. India is one of the leaders in this aspect, and we keep seeing lip-smacking motorcycles coming out of there. The latest addition to that comes from industry giant TVS Motors in the form of the 2025 Apache RTR 310. It is arguably the most capable naked in the sub-350cc segment, with enough firepower to make the Honda CB300R and KTM 250 Duke seem average.

The 2025 TVS Apache RTR 310 Features A Class-Leading Single-Cylinder Engine

Jumping right in, the RTR 310 features a class-leading powerhouse. It is a 312cc, single-cylinder engine, similar to what you see on the BMW G 310 R (TVS builds the G 310s for BMW). There are some notable internal changes, though, which is why you get 35 horsepower and 21 pound-feet. These numbers are not only more than the G 310 R, but also the CB300R and 250 Duke. TVS also claims there’s a new engine tune in 2025, with a better spread of torque and improved calibration.

An Army Of Electronic Aids And Fully Adjustable Suspension Ensures Sharp Riding Dynamics

This right here is where the RTR 310 is head and shoulders above its rivals. Not just that, it might even shame a couple of premium big bikes, too. Starting with the underpinnings, you get a trellis chassis attached to a cast aluminum subframe. This works in tandem with fully adjustable KYB suspension (USD forks and monoshock) and ByBre brakes. 17-inch alloy wheels, shod with premium Michelin Road 5 tires, round off the package.

While all that is already impressive, TVS has gone a step further with the electronics package. A six-axis IMU comes standard (not even the new CB1000 Hornet SP has this), allowing bits like cornering traction control, cornering ABS, and wheelie control. New for 2025 is a drag-torque control and launch control for even more safety. Creature comforts are aplenty as well. Notable ones include a two-way quickshifter, cruise control, and adjustable levers.

TVS Apache RTR 310 Key Features

The RTR 310 Has An Aggressive Price In India

All this is exceptional stuff for a sub-350cc entry-level streetfighter. And what makes matters sweeter is the pricing. Even though you get more in 2025, TVS has somehow reduced the RTR 310’s price in India. So it undercuts the Honda CB300R and costs just a small sum more than the 250 Duke. The only bummer is that TVS has yet to officially enter the North American market. We hope that happens soon, since the brand has already made a name for itself in Europe and South America.
