After what seems like an eternity of requesting, American Honda has finally announced a sizable update for its popular NC750X. There are a handful of notable changes, all of which make the NC more capable than ever. While at it, the mechanicals and accessible dimensions all remain the same.

The 2025 Honda NC750X Has A Fresh Design With Modern Features

What all is new, you ask? For starters, the NC750X looks fresher than ever. There’s a new LED headlight, flanked by new bodywork. These panels are carved from a special material called Durabio, which is a bio-based polycarbonate resin that helps eliminate plastic waste.

Also new is the instrument cluster. There’s a new five-inch TFT, armed with smartphone connectivity via the Honda RoadSync app. Aside from the new smartphone functions, the display has different view modes for easy readability. Finally, accompanying the TFT is a new switchgear, which is backlit and more usable than the previous model.

2025 NC750X Key Updates

  • New bodywork made of Durabio
  • New LED headlight
  • New 5-inch TFT
  • Smartphone connectivity
  • Type-C port
  • Updated switchgear

An Uber-Reliable 745cc Engine Powers The 2025 Honda NC750X

Under the skin, the NC remains as capable and accessible as before. There’s a 745cc, parallel-twin engine, which is really understressed to promise utmost reliability. Power figures remain absent (in typical Honda fashion) but we do know the DCT is carried forward. This enables a scooter-like twist-and-go operation–something no other bike offers in the price range (or the segment).

Holding things together is a steel diamond chassis, suspended on simple Showa telescopic forks and a monoshock. Would we like USD forks? Yes. But do these get the job done? Also yes. The only changes in the underpinnings department is the presence of dual 296 mm disc brakes (in place of the single 320 mm rotor from last year) and updated alloy wheels. The former is a very welcome change for a machine that weighs nearly 500 pounds (wet).

Even with the sizable updates, the NC750’s MSRP remains the same at $9,499. That is a really strong price, compared to its rivals like the Suzuki V-Strom 650, Kawasaki Versys 650, and the BMW F 800 GS. You can have the NC in only one color, though, namely Matte Pearl White. That’s disappointing, considering Honda has three other colors for the bike overseas.
