Supercar meetups offer auto enthusiasts the rare chance to see vehicles that they might only ever know from watching videos of them. Plus, the owners get the ego boost of having throngs of people fawning over their expensive rides. The events can be an excellent experience for everyone involved.
However, some folks get a little too excited amid this automotive madness. Just watch any of the vast numbers of videos of people wrecking as they leave cars and coffee events for the perfect example of what can go wrong. The crash in this video captures the moment when a Porsche 911 GT3 taps the back of a Koenigsegg Jesko at a supercar meet in Belgium.
The Crowd Reacts In Horror
The video (above) provides a brief glimpse at the fender bender. The cars are driving slowly down a road lined with spectators. The driver in the baby blue Porsche is slaloming around and appears to be going too fast. It then strikes the back of the Jesko, and there’s a hideous crunching sound. The crowd reacts by saying “whoa” in unison. A guy on the left side of the frame immediately puts his hands on his head.
It’s possible that the Porsche driver didn’t expect the person behind the wheel of the Koenigsegg to stop on the road and expected there to be more clearance in front of him. A second Instagram post (below) shows two more angles of the crash. This is a low-speed impact, and there doesn’t appear to be any serious damage to either car. They possibly just need some work to repair the cosmetic damage.
What Is A Koenigsegg Jesko
Even by supercar standards, the Jesko is a rare sight. Koenigsegg is only making 125 of them, and all of them already have registered buyers. The starting price for each one is $3 million.
The hypercar takes its name from Jesko von Koenigsegg, the father of company founder Christian von Koenigsegg. The model initially debuted at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show and boasted some impressive specs, including a top speed of potentially over 300 miles per hour.

If the regular Jesko is somehow too mild for you, there’s also the Absolut version. The car has a revised body with a low-drag setup, focusing purely on speed. The company claims this is the fastest model it will ever make.
TopSpeed’s Take
This crash had the best outcome possible. There’s no indication of harm to anyone, and there’s no significant damage to either hypercar. Imagine what was going through the driver’s minds, though. The person behind the wheel of the Porsche just hit a rare $3 million hypercar in front of a large crowd – what an embarrassing situation. Meanwhile, the Koenigsegg driver must have been perplexed about how the car was hit on a one-lane road during a supercar meetup.
