As Chinese companies continue leveling up their games, we are getting some rather capable machines each year. This unmissable sports bike is a prime example, and so is QJ’s upcoming automatic cruiser. The latest addition to the list comes from Benda Motorcycles. Yes, the same Chinese brand that has just debuted in the US in 2025. It is whipping up a new middleweight cruiser motorcycle, with some notable elements that can make this the next best thing in the segment.

The Benda Graystone 707 Boasts A V-twin Engine With A Special Transmission

As we said, Benda’s new creation will compete in the middleweight segment. As such, it employs a new 692cc, V-twin engine. This is a liquid-cooled unit, good for an impressive 72 horsepower and 50 pound-feet. That output puts it well ahead of its rivals like the Kawasaki Vulcan S and the Moto Morini Calibro 700.

Power aside, the special transmission brings an added advantage. The six-speed unit operates in tandem with an electronic clutch system, similar to Honda’s E-Clutch. This enables a clutchless operation should you wish for it. We say ‘should you wish’ because Benda has left the clutch lever in place. So you can either ride by just using the foot to shift gears and let the electronic clutch do its thing, or use both your left hand and foot to get the OG experience. Pretty cool, right?

An Innovative Suspension And Retro Design Complete The Package

Under the skin, the Benda Graystone hides a double-cradle chassis. It is carved from steel and joins hands with a double-sided swingarm. While this is simple, the party trick here is the rear suspension. Unlike usual dual springs, Benda has thrown in a segment-first pneumatic shock absorber setup. These adjust air pressure in real-time to ensure a smooth ride on varying terrain. The front end has the usual upside-down forks, though.

‘Usual’ is also how you can define the design elements here. You get a round LED headlight, wide fenders, an old-school fuel tank, and a sculpted saddle. All of these are similar to what we’ve seen on previous Benda cruisers. Likewise, the features are nothing out of the ordinary. You get:

  • Digital instrument cluster
  • Dual-channel ABS
  • All-LED lights
  • Alloy wheels
  • Bar-end mirrors
  • Adjustable levers

Benda Could Launch The Graystone In America Later

Although already shown to the public in China, the Graystone has yet to go on sale in its home country. So its international debut is a bit far down the line. We expect Benda to show it in the West at the upcoming EICMA, followed by a release for the 2026 model year. What about the US? Well, the Chinese company is slowly expanding its footprint here with Keeway as the official importer. So there is a chance this could hit the American market. Not anytime soon, though.
